1 to 2 Weeks.Our tailors open the necessary internal seams, hand-baste balance lines, preserve canvas interlinings, and reassemble each piece to your exact proportions.


3.Try-On, Industrial Press & Pickup:


Final Checkpoint.Slip into your finished suit to confirm comfort, ease of movement, and posture alignment. Your garments are hand-pressed, steamed, and packaged ready to wear.

What to Bring to Your Fitting



  1. Your Dress Shoes / Formal Footwear: The heel thickness and sole structure of your formal shoes or loafers determine where your trouser hem breaks.
  2. Your Planned Dress Shirt: Wearing the shirt you intend to pair with your suit ensures collar fit and sleeve length show the proper amount of cuff.
  3. Your Belt or Suspenders: If your trousers feature belt loops or suspender buttons, bringing these ensures accurate waist rise and posture pinning.

  • Do you alter suits purchased elsewhere?

    Yes! All of our men's tailoring clients bring in suits, tuxedos, and blazers purchased online, at department stores, custom made-to-measure shops, or vintage boutiques.

  • Can you shorten jacket sleeves that have working buttonholes?

    Yes. If your suit has working (surgeon’s) cuffs, shortening from the sleeve hem can displace the button spacing. In those cases, we shorten the sleeves from the top of the shoulder to maintain the designer's original cuff detailing.

  • What is the difference between pant breaks?

    A no-break hem rests right above the shoe with zero fabric fold (popular for modern slim cuts). A slight break creates a subtle, clean indentation over the front of the shoe. A medium break is the classic business standard, covering the top third of the shoe. We pin and demonstrate each option in the mirror so you can choose.

  • How far in advance should I bring in my wedding suit or tuxedo?

    We recommend bringing your suit or tuxedo in 3 to 5 weeks before the wedding or formal event. If your event is sooner, contact us immediately to check rush scheduling.

  • Do I need an appointment for men's alterations?

    Yes. All tailoring fittings are scheduled by appointment to guarantee you have private mirror time and the dedicated focus of our master tailors.
